Can I use Monistat 7 internally while pregnant?
Yes, you can use Monistat during pregnancy. Monistat is the brand name of the antifungal drug miconazole, which is commonly used to treat vaginal yeast infections.
Can a pregnant woman insert miconazole?
Miconazole has not officially been assigned to a pregnancy category by the FDA. In clinical trials, miconazole treatment of vaginal candidiasis has not been associated with fetal harm. Miconazole is only recommended for use during pregnancy when there are no alternatives and benefit outweighs risk.
What happens if you leave a yeast infection untreated while pregnant?
