16 Jan No Churn Oreo Ice Cream Recipe
Did you know that ice cream sales are the highest in the winter? I’m not sure if that is an actual fact, but it’s one of those weird random facts that my husband always like to tell me whenever he goes to buy an ice cream cone.
I’m actually not sure if he’s right, but what I am sure about is that you are going to love this new ice cream recipe. I’ve become a little obsessed with it, and I am now making all sorts of different ice cream combinations, so I hope you like it to.
- Heavy Cream
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
1.Use a hand or stand mixer to whip your heavy cream until it starts to form stiff peaks.
2.Next add your sweetened condensed milk into the cream, then mix for a few more seconds.
3.Crush your Oreos into pieces. I like to have large chunks of cookie in mine. If you want finer crumbs you could also put the cookies in a food processor and pulse for a few seconds.
Fold your Oreo crumbs/pieces into the cream.
4.Transfer your mix into a smaller container. I used a banana loaf pan and covered it with plastic wrap. Put it in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
To serve, take it out of the freezer and eat directly out of the pan while hiding in the pantry from your kids so you don’t have to share.
That is it. This recipe is so easy and super fun for the kids to help with. The best part is that the flavour possibilities are endless. Now the big question is what to put in our ice cream next week.
*P.S. I just checked my husbands ice cream fact and he is so very wrong. Summer is by far the best season for ice cream sales (why would I have ever believed him?). Also another ice cream fun fact I read, the average American eats more than 23 pounds of ice cream a year, thats crazy.*
