14 Jun 1st Birthday Flower Crown
Nothing says wild child like bare feet and flowers in your hair. The only problem is Avery doesn’t have much hair yet, but she still needs flowers! Most flower crowns out there are beautiful and just rest on the top of your head, but the problem is finding ones that will stay on Avery while she’s crawling around. If you have a little one like me, then the trick is to make a ‘flower crown headband’ that will stay on your little ones head…until they rip them off.
What you will need:
- Kids headband
- Felt
- Fake flowers
- Glue gun
Step 1-Buy a cheap headband. I used one of her old headbands that was laying around the house. This style we picked up at Walmart and is great because the band is think and doesn’t hurt her head.
Step 2-Cut the old flower off. Usually there is only a couple stitches holding it in place.
Step 3-Take your fake flowers and hot glue them onto a piece of felt, this way the ends don’t poke or scratch your little one. Then glue your flower bunch onto the headband.
I love how these turned out. They were simple and easy to make, and are the perfect accessory for her boho party.
